Five star luxury at bargain prices! Apr 04, 2016
I’m the sort of person who normally stays in hostels, or budget hotels; if, on the other hand, all hotels with reasonable midrange prices (circa $60 US per night including breakfast) had this level of luxury service, I’d stay in posh hotels more often!
The lobby area is straight out of a glamorous Hollywood movie star fantasy, whilst the ensuite rooms – with their minibars, tastefully decorated showers, king size bed, hand woven rugs and complimentary toiletries/tea-coffee facilities – are the very definition of indulgence. And to cap it all off there’s an all you can eat buffet breakfast, plus pleasant outdoor swimming pool with bar!
Last but not least, the polite and efficient folk at the reception desk altered my original four night booking so that I could stay at Bohol one night and then return for my fourth and last night in Cebu and the Philippines without any hassles, dramas or fuss whatsoever. Great stuff!

Quality three star accommodarion across Ayala Center Apr 04, 2016
Quest Hotel and Conference Center is ideally located in the Ayala Center area in Cebu City. While it is not within the mall complex, one can walk to there within 5 minutes.
It is part of a two building complex which has a limited driveway in the main building, hence the potential for causing minor traffic in the area near the intersection. The carpark is on another building and most non hotel guests will have to drive up to the high level (6th floor) instead of getting parking at a lower level before transferring to the hotel itself.
I booked this hotel via hotels.com although it wasn't a good deal as booking.com had a special which was $20 less on a Pee night basis less than a week before the actual check in date. I also has the option of booking via promos courtesy of friends who were employees of the conglomerate that owns Quest, or through a TravBuddy friend who had corporate rates negotiated on a yearly basis.
The lobby is big enough as there is more than one area to be seated while waiting for checkin or whoever will pick you up from the driveway. Before entering the lobby, guests have to go through a security check which involves a walk through metal detector, although it isn't up 24x7.
The room is fairly sized and has most amenities save for the ones found in five star hotels (ironing boards, bathrobes, slippers, and so on). Depending on how high up one's room is located, the view will be the rooftops of the nearby buildings or a pleasant skyline of Cebu City. The topmost floors are residential properties, which can only be accessed thorough key cards.
The rooms overall are quite pleasant and definitely worth the money paid.
There is buffet breakfast available for P450 per person (or included in certain room rates), and it is an sumptuous combination of local food and continental cuisine. The tables are wide enough and chairs are comfortable. The food display is aesthetically pleasing and individual dishes are flavorful. Definitely worth the money paid for, IMO.
While I didn't get to try out the pool our other TravBuddy companions were quite happy with it.
Overall this is a highly recommended hotel when visiting Cebu City, considering the combination of location, amenities and price.

A very good affordable hotel in Cebu Jun 15, 2012
A very good hotel in Cebu City:
First, it is in front of Ayala mall, just crossing the street.
Second,it is very clean and tidy.
Third, the stuff are just amazing, eager to please, nice, and helpful. I like the way they salute the guests hahahaha.
Forth, the food is another story to me: Superb yet not that expensive.
And last but not least,I was lucky my room has a view to the swimming pool.
One thing more:
I'm sorry I don't have any photo now except for the food hahaha.
