New Zealand... the adrenaline capital of the world as it sometimes is called. Spent this 3 week trip with one of my best college buddies. Zipped around both islands as quickly as we could to see as much as we could. Started in the Bay of Islands of the North Island and finished in the Milford Sound in the South Island after the Milford Track. Everyday a new adventure :)

One month in New Zealand - two weeks on each island. Fantastic nature!!! Kayaking, paragliding, bungy jumping, Christmas... and much, much more. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been! I have to go back.. and back.. and back, and back..

Queenstown is the resort town of New Zealand. Its a cross between Banff and Canmore, but bigger. With breathtaking scenary, great restaurants and at least three ski hills. We spent out time shopping, doing a Lord of the Rings Tour, visiting the bird sanctuary and having drinks at the ice bar. - Geoff

Queenstown is located on the South Island, at the shore of Lake Wakatipu. Here I met a friend of mine who was going to acompany me for the next 10 days. The plan was to explore the area around Queenstown for two days before heading South along the West coast...and so we did.Queenstown is a lovely town, very lively, and offers plenty of options to get some action. The Dart stables in Glenorchy offer riding tours to ,,The Lord of the Rings´´ movie sets. It was a very scenic horse ride, which makes you think, you are in the middle of a LOTR movie. So probably a must for every fan!(You also get the chance to ride one of the film horses when you are lucky;-)) I'm not a big LOTR fan (yes, i watched the movies), but when you get to New Zealand you just have to visit the movie sets! No wonder why they filmed it on this BEAUTIFUL piece of land!!

My first overseas adventure couldn't have been more perfect. I met some amazing friends travelling around on a contiki tour. Aside from spending a substantial proportion of my holiday being sick, it will definately take a lot for any future travels to compare to how good of a experience this one was.

Only a bit more than a week has past and I've already experienced so many things..... In Wanaka I did this walk to the Rob Roy Glacier which was quite hard as it was going up and up and up.... 2 hours!!! I'm not used to that at all but I managed to do it and I actually doing quite well!! However, my knees were hurting terribly the next day. I think they just have to get used to it.... A couple of days earlier, I decided to change my plans (I wanted to go to Queenstown next) and went to Dune...

Me and my friend studied one semester in Auckland,NZ. Although we were really busy with uni and it rained a lot we love NZ ! NZ rocks but Auckland sucks ;) !

Or from bungy jump 134 m into a canyon to a horse back on the ground I could have called it. My first morning in Queenstown was spent being excited about the jump. After waiting around we all got on a tiny little mini bus with a guy calling himself 'dude' and looked like he had definitely been smoking something else than a regular cigarette.
