1 / 1 TravBuddies found this review helpful Nov 18, 2006 If you can choose betwee ACB and Queenstreet Backpackers you should definitely go to Queenstreet. It's very basic but it's a good place to stay. It's not so huge and not so crowded and it's still in the middle of the city centre of Auckland.

2 comments 1 smile Johnny_Bravooo says: Queenstreet backpackers has friendly staff and its in a good and central location. however, everything is quite old and worn out and could really use a renovation. also the rooms on the street site get a lot of traffic noise, rooms on the back side are quite dark and noisy because of all the aircons on the opposite wall. but overall its ok and all rooms are cleaned daily; have been in much worse hostels :) Posted on: Mar 11, 2008 yarms says: Hey, I'm going to NZ by myself in late August and want the first hostel I stay in (in Auckland) to be a sociable one!
