Queen Of Tarts
Queen Of Tarts Dublin Reviews
Amazing .... Oct 08, 2012
Cute, Romantic, Girly, Chintzy, Delicious, Mouth-watering - i could go on .......
My favourite place for tea and cake in Dublin, and i always go to the Cow lane branch at the end of Temple Bar because there is the option of sitting outside in the cute little terrace and it has more space inside on those cold days.
There's breakfast from 8am - 12pm, lunches and desserts and even a wine list. I recommend the Baileys choc chip cheese cake, chocolate, pear and almond tart and my friends say the Victoria sponge and decadent chocolate and pecan tart are to die for.... all of these delicious cakes are 4.95euros which is pretty pricey but justified by the huge portions, mountains of cream and excellent decoration and presentation.
When you walk in you feel as if you have walked into some kind of cake museum and your waiting for the Mad-Hatter from Alice in Wonderland to jump out from behind a delicate cake- stand (or maybe that's just me and my strange mind !!)
The plates, cups and tea-pots are all of beautiful design that you could I'magine the Queen of England would be happy to use. It really is a tea-tI'me paradise - well done to the two sisters who set it up back in 1998 after studying patisserie in New York City ..... its a sweet, sweet place ....
For some unknown reason, i don't have many photos but I'm sure ill be back very soon to take more to add here but for now these will have to do ...
