Queen Mary´s Garden London Reviews
A delight for the eye Jun 21, 2011
Queen Mary´s Garden is located inside Regent´s Park. This garden is named after the wife of King George V. The rose garden is famous for its 30.000 roses of 400 varieties. It is set around a small lake with ducks and geese and is an absolute delight for the eye. In the lake there is a small island with a narrow trail through lush vegetation. The island is connected with a Japanese bridge. There is also an open air theatre in the garden, which hosts different events throughout the summer.
A walk through Queen Mary´s Garden is highly recommended. Even on a rainy day, which it was when we were there, it is a beautiful walk. This green lung is also a nice break from a hectic and noisy London.
Entrance to the garden is free and it has the same opening hours as Regent´s Park, from 5 am year round. Closing times vary depending on the season (from 4:30 in winter to 9:30 pm in summer).
