Province Capital, historic town and heart of French America. Oldest North American city and only fortified one, Québec city has a historic charm with enthousiastic and proud resident merging European feelings with North American lifestyle. There is many features and wonderful panorama on the St-Lawrence and the Laurentians. Quebec city is definitely not to be missed!!

You can easily enjoy a walk on the historic downtown at every season, over the warm summer in the numerous parks and terrass, by the dry autumn with the panorama over the colourful surrounding mountains or in the snowy chill winter. The city pace is relaxed and safe but still vibrant at the same time. You can as well reach the green countryside pretty fast from its downtown and be in complete nature, enjoying the wildlife and surrounding Waterfalls, within minutes of driving through the neighbouring counties (Portneuf, Jacques-Cartier, Beaupré, Ile d'Orléans).

Travelling in the city and its region is taking a deep breath into a majestic landscape and an important part of the history of North America.

Well after yesterday’s adventures and subsequent late night, I decided to take it easy for the day and just relax before heading back to Montreal. Bene had to work at 8am and wasn’t going to be back until 1pm so I decided to sleep in until 12pm and then get all showered and stuff for when she got back. When Bene got home we decided to have lunch with her parents who had cooked crepes and ham, what a great meal! I smothered everything in brown sugar and maple syrup, I couldn’t have picke...

Greetings from lovely Quebec City! (It is north of Vermont.)   I have always wanted to go to Canada ever since I was bitten by the travel bug seven years ago. I finally made it to Canada. I arrived here on Saturday and I will leave Thursday morning. I am here attending a work-related conference and thus, I am grateful that most of my travel expenses will be reimbursed. I am staying at the famed Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in Old Quebec City where the conference is held...
