Quality Suites Pittsburgh Reviews
Easy Access to the City Dec 31, 2009
This hotel was a fantastic choice for somewhere to stay for New Year's Eve! The shuttle dropped us off in downtown Pittsburgh and then picked us up again easily when we were ready to come back for the night. The driver was friendly and also skilled at avoiding the crazy pedestrians!
The room was a good size with two beds, a sleeper sofa, and a kitchen area with lots of drawers. The kitchen also had a full size refrigerator and oven. Various eatingware was in the drawers and cupboards. While there was not a regular dining table, the kitchen did have two bar chairs next to an island (well, peninsula) counter.
Two closets by the bathroom provided good storage. The sink was outside the tub/toilet part of the bathroom. The counter was a decent size.
We slept well but we also had been up pretty late celebrating the New Year so that might have helped a little :)
The lighting in the room was not the best especially in the kitchen area.
There was a pool but it was outdoors and as there was snow on the ground, it obviously was not open!
While it was a little bit of a trek through the cold December air, the continental breakfast had a great spread and plenty of seating. A Christmas tree near the windows added a festive feel to the room.
Another disadvantage to the hotel is simply the exit and entrance ramps from the main highway; you have very little time to slow down so just be aware.
