Quality Suites Hotel Lansing Reviews
Best Hotel of our roadtrip! Jun 10, 2010
Location: Exit the freeway (I-96) at the 93B exit, Saginaw Highway, then one half mile east on the left, up Commerce Dr.
Amenities: This is a 100% non-smoking hotel, free airport shuttle, weekday newspaper, complete fitness center, sauna, hot tub, 24 hour convenience shop/gift store, large atrium, high speed wireless internet access, free complete breakfast. There are 117 guest suites and they are rated three stars by AAA. They even offered an evening social hour with cocktails, beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres.
Value: This was mid to high range $80-$90 for our trip, but it was a huge suite with all amenities except a hot tub.
Staff: The staff here was very friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable. They noted my broken leg and gave us the first suite inside the south-end door to save steps. It was located quite close to the breakfast area so that we would have that convenient in the morning also.
Cleanliness: This very large facility was immaculate and our suite was also.
Our Room: I must say our suite was huge! Our suite had a nice sofa and easy chair in the living room, an amazingly large computer desk and managers chair, wet bar, microwave, refrigerator, and TV. The bedroom was large an included two double beds, iron and ironing board, and another TV.
Bed: The beds were very comfortable.
Bathroom: The bathroom here was completely handicapped friendly, with high commode, hand rails around the room and in the tub/shower. They also were quick to bring us a handicap stool for the shower upon request. Plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner and clean towels were provided, and there was a hair dryer.
Breakfast: At check-in you are given a ticket for breakfast, which is served in the beautiful atrium style breakfast area. You take your ticket to the nice order area where the chef asks how you would like your eggs, if you would care for hash browns, sausages, bacon, and proceeds to fill your order in moments. Coffee, hot water for tea (and a selection of teas), several kinds of juices, several soft drinks, and milk were also available. In the very large seating area of the atrium there are several breads, muffins, and sweet bakery items. This had to be the best breakfast of our entire trip.
This hotel should be rated more than three stars. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel! Excellent!

The Best Hotel of our entire vacation!! Jun 10, 2010
This hotel is located a little ways off the freeway and not the easiest to see from the exit. From I-96 take the 93B, Saginaw Highway, about a half mile or so and then left on Commerce Dr. You will see it on the left. It is a 100% non-smoking hotel, which after last night was a super blessing. They offer free shuttle service to the airport, weekday newspapers, a complete fitness center, sauna hot tub, a 24 convenience shop and gift store, a super large atrium, high speed wireless internet throughout the facility, and a free complete breakfast. They even have an evening social hour with cocktails, bee, wine and hors d’oeuvres. All of that for only $80 - $90 which was in the mid to high range for our road trip. And not only that, but we had a huge suites with all of the amenities except a hot tub. The staff had noted Roger’s broken leg and they were very friendly and helpful and given us the best room very close to the southern entry doors to save him from walking. Our suite was beautiful, immaculate and huge. There was a nice sofa and easy chair in the living room along with a coffee table and end table with lamp, a gigantic computer desk for internet or writing, with a very nice manager’s high backed chair, a wet bar, microwave, refrigerator and large TV with cable. The large bedroom contained two double beds which were very comfortable, and another TV with cable, and an iron and ironing board. The bathroom here was completely handicapped friendly, with high commode, hand rails around the room and in the tab/shower. They also were quick to bring us a handicap stool for the shower upon request. Plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner and clean towels were provided, and there was a hair dryer. Breakfast was served in the large atrium area and you presented the ticket issued at checking and the chef asked how you liked your eggs, if you wanted hash browns, sausage, bacon or whatever and proceeded to load your plate with freshly cooked food in just moments. In the seating area you could make any kind of toast you desired and they also had muffins, sweet rolls and other bakery items. You could also serve yourself any kind of juice you could think of, sodas, coffee, tea or milk. By far this was the most outstanding breakfast of our entire trip. The only drawback to this hotel was that to go out to dinner required a short drive. Not much in the way of restaurants within walking distance. I agree with my husband that this hotel should be rated more than three stars and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone.
