Quality Inn & Suites Hermosa Beach

I stayed at this hotel for a week in May 2007 and was very pleased with it, so much so that I'm staying there again this May!

I found the staff to be very curteous and helpful, and quite happy to share their cookies :) The room was quite large, very clean and well maintained, with a large and comfy bed, private bathroom, a separate seating area and a little balcony that had a view of the ocean :)

The location is great - about a 10 minute walk from the pier, beach and a whole host of bars and restaurants. There's tons of shops and boutiques down near the beach too. There's also a little retail park just around the corner from the hotel, with a supermarket, coffee shop, ATM, and a bunch of other shops. The whole area is really chilled and a little bohemian.

The complimentary breakfast at the hotel is a self service buffet. There's not a huge amount of choice but its fresh, and all-you-can-eat (which is always good!) Fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast, pastries, eggs, coffee and juices. There's a balcony (as well as an inside dining area) that you can sit out on to eat, with a great view over Hermosa and the ocean - but get there early if the hotel is busy, otherwise you'll be eating back in your room.

There's a gym room with all the usual bits (running machines, cross trainers, etc..) but I never used it. I preferred to be outside in the Californian sunshine!

The hotel also has free, off-road, undercover parking, reserved for hotel guests. This is great as the parking down on the ocean front is limited and a bit pricey. We just left the car at the hotel and walked down to the beach every day.

Overall, a great hotel and I would stay there again (and I am!). Definitely recommended!

This hotel was a very good place to stay in Hermosa Beach. We had four dudes there for the OSU vs USC game, so we booked a suite, and it was top notch. Our room had two seperate rooms that were clean so that was a plus. The staff was great , they accomodated us in every way and gave us no hassle. The location was within walking distance of the beach and the party scene, and was also only a short ride from the airport. I felt that was a strong point of Hermosa Beach in general. Overall I would say this is great value.

We planned to travel all over LA, down the coastline, into Hollywood to do the Walk of Fame, over to Anaheim for Disneyland. We wanted somewhere that was inexpensive, safe, and had a great location for us to venture out. Quality Inn & Suites was a perfect match.

The rooms are quiet, a good size and kept clean. They provide an assortment of free breakfast goodies, including 'homemade' waffles. There's a computer to use in the main lobby and if you bring your own, internet access is easy to set up and it's free.

We never used it, but they do have a Jacuzzi.
