Quality Inn Maingate Four Corners Davenport (Florida)

This is by no means a luxury hotel, but I've stayed her twice for a conference in Orlando. It's only a mile or two away from the Omni at ChampionsGate, so if you are going there for a conference, and want to save some money, you can try here and save a few hundred dollars per night.

On the plus side, it has free wireless, free breakfast (fairly simple, just some cereal, juice, and fruit) and is in a convenient location right off the freeway exit.

On the negative side, the rooms are old. The first time I stayed here (on a room in the upper floor in the back), the room was fairly nice. The second time, we got a bottom room in the front, and it was significantly worse. It had the faint odor of cleaning solution, and it was definitely worse than the upper floor room.

There was also an suspicious looking guy sleeping in his pick-up truck outside at 6AM in the morning, watching people enter and exit the building, which was kind of creepy. On the plus side, we called the reception (who are very friendly), and they were able to solve any problems we had.

Location may also be an issue. It's about 25 minutes south of Disneyworld, and 30-40 minutes south of Orlando. There isn't a whole lot to do nearby.

But if you don't mind saving some money and have business nearby, then it's worth checking this place out.
