Quality Inn Downtown 4th Avenue Spokane Reviews
Quality Inn Downtown Jun 22, 2010
We have been to Spokane previously but the last time we had stayed at a place about five or seven miles east of town and on a hill overlooking a very busy interchange that turned out to be quite noisy. So we had decided to try and find something closer to town and either at a distance from the freeway interchanges or at least where the room would be blocked by a retaining wall or other noise barrier. This Quality Inn filled the bill on both.
Location: Just on the north side of the freeway right in the downtown area of Spokane, near the hospital. Easy exit from the freeway and access to the freeway is also a plus.
Amenities: This five story hotel type facility with 150 guest rooms boasts an outdoor heated pool, exercise room, laundry facility, elevators, meeting rooms, copy and fax services, and an on-site restaurant. Parking is available in the front and on both ends of the facility, but not for large trucks. AAA has rates this as a two star facility.
Value: Again tonight we had a free night due to staying so many nights at Quality Inns during our road trip. The normal price for the room we had would have been in the high range of $90 to $100.
Staff: The staff here was helpful and offered assistance. Also, noticing my broken leg they were quick to find a nice room that required fewer steps to get to.
Cleanliness: We found both our room and the hotel facility in general to be quite clean and well maintained.
Our Room: contained two queen sized beds, a small side chair and floor lamp, and table for writing and internet access, a microwave and small refrigerator.
Beds: The two beds although slightly different, one firmer than the other, were both comfortable enough so that we slept well. The blankets and pillows were more than sufficient.
Bath: The bathroom here was smaller than most of the hotels where we had stayed and this one did not offer a handicapped shower. There were plenty of towels, shampoo, and conditioner.
Breakfast: This was the best part of our stay here. Usually if they have an on-site restaurant the breakfast is not complimentary, but not here. All we needed to do was show them the guest receipt for two breakfasts we had received at check in. We were able to pick whatever we wanted from fresh hot foods laid out banquet style. We enjoyed eggs, hash-brown potatoes, biscuits and gravy, bacon and sausage, several types of toast and jam or jelly, juices and coffee. I didn’t even see cereal available.
