Quality Airport Hotel Dan Kastrup

Quality Airport Dan Hotel is getting a very mixed review from me. In physical terms, it was great. Clean twin room, spacious bathroom, spotlessly clean and close to the airport. It's a 70DK ride from the airport and close to a station. There are toiletries and clean towels provided. breakfast is not included in the bill, and there is no airport shuttle on a weekend.

The staffing however, when we went, was not adequate. We were there on a Saturday night. We waited at the desk for ten minutes with the only sign of staff being a barman who came over to say that the receptionist would be back in a minute. The hotel had lost the reservation - I am aware that this happens in the best hotels - and the receptionist had to stop helping us several times to answer the phone and help other guests. The barman was watching from his empty bar the whole time. I had a similar experience in the morning - a different harrassed receptionist, left alone to deal with a ten minute queue. The staff were polite, but obviously undertrained and understaffed. On balance, it would be less hastle to stay in Copenhagen and get a train in in the morning if there was any way that your flight times would allow.

PS I've just read the blurb form the hotel above. Guests do NOT get breakfast free. It is added to the price.
