Qua Bottle Lounge Reviews

Stylish Aquarium Dance Floor Jun 23, 2008
I like a good dive bar or honky-tonk just as much as the next guy. And Austin is well known for its college nightlife and bars. But the one thing you won't find at Qua is a bunch of drunken frat boys! Most of my friends are over the age of 30, have some disposable income and like to dress nice when out. A 25 year old age limit ensures a more civilized crowd. No t-shirts or flip-flops to ruin the appeal. This place has got style. When you walk into Qua, you're surrounded by warm stone, accent lighting and trickling water. Covered, but open- aired from 4th Street, there is a comfortable, relaxed seating area. A great place for conversations and drinks. But what grabs you as you descend the steps, is the glowing, transparent dance floor covering a huge pool inhabited with stingrays and small reef sharks! A DJ booth behind the pool provides the latest beats. You can also reserve a cushy, semi-private booth that has built in chilling tables for your beverages. The girls love it, the guys love the girls! This place can't be missed.
