Pygmalion Økocafe & Galleri Bergen Reviews
A charming restaurant serving organic food Jan 02, 2010
This charming restaurant is located in an 18th century building. The old brick walls have been kept and it gives the place a rustic look. The table by the fireplace is specially nice.
Pygmalion is a bit hidden away in a small side street, but only one block from the famous fish market.
The food is organic and is of a creole/carribean style with a touch of Thai. They serve typical lunch dishes like ciabatta, wraps, filled pancakes and burgers. All the dishes come in three different styles: beef, chicken and veggie. And the prices are very reasonable.
The resturant also has a wonderful selection of cakes. Cheese cake and carrot cake being specially yummy. And for the coffee lovers, there is a separate menu.
You order at the counter and then the food is brought to your table.
On the walls there are paintings which are changed every so often and they are all for sale. Instead of a desert you might buy yourself some art.
Pygmalion has a warm atmosphere and a very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely eat here again.
