Putri Ayu Cottages

Travelling from the UK we meet up with our daughter and indonesian husband . We arrived at the hotel, our cases were literally dumped in our rooms and that was it. No signing in, no welcome drink no info regarding breakfast.No information provided in the rooms for medical help, taxi, places to eat. Then the track to town.Information on web says 10mins walk, really? Not been Olympians maybe thats why it took 20mins and we are all fit people. The track is is completely unmade with no lighting till you are virtually to the top. Not ideal for wet weather! One had to use a taxi to an from Ubud. Breakfast was very average, service slow. The room itself whilst comfortable was very sparse. No pictures or flowers not even a thermos with hot water was available. We were booked in for 4 days but left after 2 due to the poor location and service. Try the Pradha for value for money it only has 6 rooms and staff are so friendly and helpful and its two yes two minutes to the main road and shops and you can walk to the museum and the lotus garden too. Enjoy Ubud but not this hotel sorry.

We have stayed in several locations around Bali, but this was unique. It was surrounded by rise fields.

Putri Ayu is kind of away from the main streets and yet easily accessible through unique pathway.

There are no more than 6 rooms so don't expect to run into people. The rooms are nice with big French style windows allowing to see around the nice view of the rice fields and palm trees. Try to get a room on the second floor for best view.

The pool looked nice and clean but we never felt the need to use it.

You get complementary breakfast. Make sure to have you lunch and dinner outside as there is no one to cook for you.
