Putrajaya Vacation Guide

Putrajaya (Known as Malaysia's first Intelligent Garden City) is the new federal administrative capital of Malaysia. Architecturally, Putrajaya will be an indigenous city with a modern look. It’s development marked a new era for modern cities planning in Malaysia. The city embraces the concept of an intelligent garden city and showcases the best of Malaysian architectural design in an environmentally-friendly setting of beautifully landscaped lakes and parks.

The city was named after Malaysia’s First Malaysia Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra. Together with an area covering 4,931 hectares, Putrajaya is situated 25 kilometres from the capital city of Kuala Lumpur in the north and 20 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at Sepang in the south.

The prime areas in Putrajaya City are divided into precincts and consists of government offices, as well as commercial, residential and recreational areas.
