Put-in-Bay Vacation Guide
Put-In-Bay is the town located on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. It's about 10 air miles from Port Clinton, Ohio. Due to it's location, it's generally a summer destination.
The easiest way to access the island is by boat. There are many ferries running to and from Sandusky and Port Clinton. Private boats are allowed but dock space is limited and will cost.
While there, don't miss Perry's Monument, commemorating the battle of Oliver Hazard Perry and the Battle of Lake Erie. Daytimes are very family friendly with plenty of shopping, historical sites, and cruising along the shore. Nighttime becomes a little more rowdy with live entertainment in the many bars.
