It has been a long few days.  We started off with a camel trek through the Thar desert.  The camels are a little different than the ones in Morocco were.  People ride them two at a time...driver and rider and as a result, they go a lot faster.  All of us had some pretty sore backs the next day after riding the camels.  It was quite beautiful to see the scenery. OK - now my photos start to shine!! It just so happens that the famous Pushkar Camel Fair is this week.   It purposely coincides with the lunar calandar in November and is one of the largest holy pilgrimages in India.  Over 200,000 people make a pilgrimage here to bathe in the ghats (ghats are stairs descending into the water to bathe) of Pushkar lake.  This is where Ghandi's ashes were put afloat.  As a rare occurance, they turn it into a huge Camel a...

Woke up really early - partly due to new surroundings, partly due to the lack of AC causing the room to boil! Walked around Pushkar, explored. Headed back to hotel to cool down. Went out again to have a look around. TO BE UPDATED...
