Puro Peru Buffet Gourmet Lima Reviews
Peruvian Buffet May 28, 2011
Puro Peru is a buffet restaurant serving authentic dishes (hence the name) in the bohemian neighborhood of Barranco. The restaurant was, in a word, awesome!
The buffet had a great selection. Everything was in pretty small portions which were replenished quickly so you it was freshly prepared. I had the best ceviche in my life (shrimp, fish, octopus, squid). They even had a sushi section and a pasta section. I didn't know pasta was a big Peruvian dish but hey why not!
For desert I had orroz con leche, mazamorra morada and delicia de maracuyá (all very small portions of course).
To drink it has to be something with pisco. The pisco sour is the most famous but we also had pisco with passion fruit (maracuyá) which I think was my favorite.
Service was excellent. I definitely recommend this place!
