Pura Vida Juice Bar Buenos Aires Reviews
Homesick for Jamba Juice? Apr 01, 2010
Walking home one day I delightfully stumbled across Pura Vida Juice Bar. Certainly no tourist destination, Pura Vida is an awesome find for the on-the-go expat who is nostalgic for Jamba Juice and craving a licuado (Spanish for fresh fruit smoothie).
The juice bar has smoothie and juice options, milk smoothies and power add-ins should you so desire.
Lunch options are sure to satisfy your cravings for the gourmet, which is sometimes hard to find within the strict confines of traditional Argentine cuisine.
I had an Italiano Sandwich, which had marinated organic tofu, Portobello mushrooms, an array of herbs and greens and a black olive and bulgur tapenade. Sandwiches are served with homemade pita chips. Be sure to try one of the many different sauces.
The juice is great. The food is a little messy but very tasty. Atmosphere is open, calm and happy, very busy at peak hours. The prices are reasonable. I keep Pura Vida on my list of places to visit again.
