Tasty buffet at the beach - Punto Blanco Sep 26, 2009
Maybe one of the nicest things of Lima is the fact that it's located in the coast and has beaches and this restaurant takes good advantage of it.

Location is great, right next to the beach. Well, you can't go swimming there, but still enjoy the breeze and watch the sea. The name "Punto Blanco" means "White dot" and this is the right name for it. The decoration is minimalist and very white. On the weekends at night, the place turns into a lounge and disco.

Now, talk about the food. They have a menu but nobody comes here for the menu, but for the buffet. Sure, it's not chap, but it's not that expensive if you think about the quality of the food and the restaurant if very nice too.

The buffet is about Peruvian and International Cuisine. I've tried really good Peruvian food at different places but what really impressed me here was the "Tiradito with cocona" the traditional dish with a twist of the rainforest. There are many dishes available and you can't miss the soups. They are very good. Also the presentation of the food is very nice!

The service is very good too. Of course is a buffet, but there are always waiters to clean the table and offer you drinks. At the end I got a coupon for a free drink next time here, hahaha.

There are many good restaurants in Lima. I'd recommend this one if it's sunny and you want to have a tasty meal while you watch the sea.
