Punta Hermosa Vacation Guide
Located 40km south of Lima, Punta Hermosa is known because of its bays and nice beaches to surf, which have nice waves, big and not so big. The highest can be 11m tall. Besides the surf, the beaches are great to relax and chill out.
Punta Hermosa has 5 beaches, each of them nice. The first 3 "El silencio" "Senoritas" & "Caballeros" are just walking distance from the highway. There are kiosks there, so you will find food and drinks. A bit further away, you'll find the pueblo (town) where you'll find houses, hostels and restaurants. Here there are 2 other beaches "Playa Negra" & "Playa Blanca".
Food is cheap, you can find fish & seafood and also chicharrones (pork). There's also a good nightlife in Punta Hermosa. It might be the 2nd best after Asia.
If you are in Lima during summer time and want to take a break of the city, this is a good option. It's easy to get there and it's so laid back.

Although Lima is located on a cliff, the beaches in front of the city are not the best, to swim I mean. Just have to drive a bit south or north to find nice beaches. This is another beach. If you want to get fun, go out at night, get relax or even learn surfing, this is a good place to go.
Or even if you want to scape from the stress from Lima..... try to choose a place away from the main street, or you wont be able to sleep (ifff you are not going out at night)
