Really nice place to stay Apr 10, 2015
So this is where I stay for one night in Eindhoven. The hotel, overall was excellent. I cancelled my orginal stay and then decided I wanted to stay for one night (the original booking was for 2). This was no problem. They rebooked me and did so at my original rate. The ammeniates are great with both the fitness center and the spa being complementary. At the discounted rate that I recieved ($53 a night) breakfast was not included, but it could have been for $19 more euros. From what I saw they served a typical continetal breakfast.

The only drawback I would say about the hotel is the distance from Amsterdam. It is a long hour and half away from the city and the ride cost 19.50 Euro one way. So if your meeting up with someone (like I was (TB Elise) or going to watch a PSV game then its a great place to stay, but if your going to go for Amsterdam, you might be better getting a place closer to the city or to the airport since its only 5 dollars from Amsterdam city central and the airport.

PSV will become champions this weekend!Crowded!
A good spa at Pullman would be a good distraction.

Anyone coming to Eindhoven? Buzz me.

Luxurious and expensive Nov 21, 2013
Pullman Eindhoven Cocagne is one of hotels from Pullman chain.

The hotel is located in the center of Eindhoven, right opposite De Heuvel shopping center.

The room is very modern and is decorated in luxurious style.

The room has a comfortable double bed and is equipped with a big desk, a fridge and a big TV.

Tea/coffee facilities are available.

Bathroom is big and comes with a shower and a separate toilet. Towels and all toiletries are included.

Breakfast is not included in the room price and costs €28 per person. It is served in a buffet style with plenty breakfast items to choose.

Free wi-fi works without any glitches. There is also a computer lounge on the ground floor.

Free parking is available although number of spaces is limited and therefore, cannot be guaranteed.

Price per room per night - €148. A little steep for me, but I stayed at this hotel on the invitation so didn't pay a dime.

I would recommend the hotel for those looking for a luxury and willing to pay a premium price. Not for those on a budget.

Excelent! Jul 31, 2012
OK, maybe I'm not all objective being a inhabitant of Eindhoven, but I've seen the history of the Pullman hotel very closely. It was built in 1960 and last year (2011) the final renovations were finished so the hotel is up to date for the next few decades. Spend the night a few times and I just loved it. Staff is very helpful. Also the restaurant, named VESTDIJK 47 is a place I really want to recommend.

Rooms are clean, beds are high quality and breakfast is super!

Advantage is the location because your are right in town's centre. Everything is withing walking distance.

If you're by car, there is a huge parking underneath the hotel.

The largest 'pub-street' of the Netherlands is only a 5 minutes walk: Stratumseind with 50+ Bars & Pubs. But be aware, the people who go there are between 16 and 30. If you look for a older audience go to Wilhelminaplein or Kleine Berg. It's only 10 minutes walk from the Pullman.

Hope I gave you enough information.

It's now called the Pullman Eindhoven Cocagne Apr 16, 2011
It used to be SOFITEL, but recently they have changed to Pullman. I met quite a few people in Eindhoven, NL that did not know that the hotel name had changed.

The hotel is excellent overall. The staff are quite friendly and eager to help. They also speak English quite well and were knowledgeable about Eindhoven and Holland in general.

The hotel is optimally located for the abundant night life on the Stratumseind, just an easy 5-10 minute walk. The Stratumseind is focused on night life like few other places. It has a multitude of restaurants, bars, and clubs.

The hotel also has its own piano bar and restaurant. They looked clean and cozy, although I did not use them during my stay. The hotel also had a large beer tent set up in the rear parking lot. This was a special event just for Carnivaal. Unfortunately, I had to leave before Carnivaal was started so I did not use the tent.

There is plenty of convenient parking for the hotel. There is a gated parking lot behind the hotel and a small underground garage that is connected to the hotel via an elevator. On the rare occasions that these two lots are full, there is an additional public parking lot next to the hotel and a public parking garage across the street from the hotel. I was told that if I had to use the public parking areas I could bring in my receipt and the hotel would take car of it. I never had to use the public parking so I don't know for certain how the hotel reimburses for that situation.

Heart of Eindhoven Aug 18, 2009
The Sofitel Cocagne, Formerly the Dorin Cocagne, Formerly the Cocagne hotel in Eindhoven Center.

This hotel was originally founded as a hotel for Philips employees in Eindhoven before joining the Dorint chain which then joined Accor and this hotel became a Sofitel.

Compared with some other Sofitel hotels, this one is a bit older and the original Cocagne wing is in need of some upgrading (which I understand is currently ongoing). Rooms ending in 16 or 17 are the king sized balcony rooms overlooking the Vestada Tower. Rooms ending in 32 are also king sized and have a balcony, but overlooks only the parking lot in the back. Rooms ending in 39 are king sized with no balcony. Rooms in the back wing of thee hotel are the executive rooms, these are more modern and updated. The upper floors in the back wing are apartments usually rented out to corporate clients.

The hotel offers an amazing breakfast buffet in the morning. The hotel restaurant is a bit expensive, but the food is excellent. You can also order food while at the bar, and the bar staff is top notch professional. Maria will often remember you after one visit, even with years in between!

The hotel offers a gym and swimming pool and sauna (European style). Parking is available for a fee. Note: If you are a guest and both parking lots show "Vol", pull up to the P1 lot and push the intercom, often they will show the lot as full but still have ample spaces available for guests. If it really is full, pull up in front of the hotel and let them park for you.

The hotel staff is always very friendly and helpful, one of the brightest spots of the hotel.

As for location, the hotel is right in the center of town, within walking distance of the train station, the market square, Stratumseind, and most of the dining and nightlife Eindhoven has to offer.

If you are in Eindhoven, this is the place to stay!

High class in Eindhoven Sep 10, 2009
Let's start with the beds. You know those commercials where you dive with your back on a bed and you slowly drown in it. Well that's the bed you'll get. This ride will take 20 seconds, if you grave yourself out of it, take the next bed and do it again. The room are really tidy, with your own desk and chillseat. Check in the closet cause you have your own water boiler and tea/coffee/hot choc-bags. Breakfast with bacon and eggs, salmon, you name it, they got it. Service was great, they helped our filmcrew carry the enormous account of bags to our tech-room.

Only bad point was the playstation one, where you even had to pay for. Yes, they got Crah Bandicoot :D
