Pulau Dayang Dive Resort Reviews
Pulau Dayang Dive Resort May 30, 2010
Pulau Dayang is an island by the east side of Malaysian peninsula. It is one of the best training island to do an open water diver] in the region. Specially most of Singaporean dive schools go to for the checkout dive.
The island is far from the main port, Mersing, but it's worth it. It takes 3-4 hours to travel from Mersing, but what usually divers do is to leave Mersing port at past midnight; arriving at Pulau Dayang at early morning around 5-6 in the morning.
The island and waters are very nice. It is 2 minute walk from the jetty to the dining area. The cottages are dormitory style and double deck. The resort do not provide toiletries and towels. The room is provided with a pillow for each bed, therefore specially on rainy season, diver must bring some jacket or blanket. Toilet is common located at the back of the cottages.
Meals are buffet style. Eat as much as you can and drink as much as you want, in this island.
It is nice to dive and stay in this resort for first to second time.
