Average but if you have a few minutes to spare... Oct 11, 2011
Although the cathedral has been the site of Christian worship since the Roman period, the building has been embellished and renovated on so many occasions that it is difficult to label it as a certain architectural style. Whatever it is, the cathedral was a bit of a disappointing visit to say the least. Not much to see inside, no amazing chapel or insight into the past. It is seldom visit by tourists and worshippers alike, and for good reason. The only reason to see this place would be for its location (its fairly near the amphitheatre) and the bell-tower nearby is pretty eye-catching. If you are visiting Istria, and are looking for an amazing religious building, I would wait for Porec and visit the Euphrasian basilica there!
