The Oh!:The alarm rang really early, but I managed to get up. Well, I was thinking it's 5:30am, so I had plenty of time to go to the airport and catch my 7:20am flight. Flying between Puerto Rico and the USA is like a domestic flight, so... Anyway, I was just brushing my teeth, when I heard Francis…

I enjoyed a jam-packed 3-day Puerto Rico Meetup. Highlights included: strolling Old San Juan, clubbing & salsa dancing, discovering Rio Camuy Cave Park & underground river, enjoying tasty, traditional cuisine & mofongo, trying several one-of-a-kind ice creams, touring Bacardi Rum grounds, singing karoke, horseback riding, seeing El Yunque National Rainforest, having perfect weather all 3 days & hanging with wonderful old & new pals.

Apparently when you go to Puerto Rico you are supposed to book a hotel and transportation in advance. Being the procastinator that I am, my sister and I arrived in Aguadilla thinking we would travel by bus to Rincon for the night. In Puerto Rico, there is no cross-island bus service and no "bu…

When I travel, there are only two significant things in my list: Book a flight and Rent a car. I don’t worry much of where to sleep, as long as I have a car that can take me anywhere. I’m good to go. Finding a hotel is less important to me. Besides, I can always find one while driving around an…

On that saturday my wife had to go to work, and she didn't want to drive so I went with her. While she worked I took some pictures of the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao. I took a lot of the fountain and then went to search for birds. It was before I got me the new lens so I …

Enroute from San Juan back to Orlando we passed over the chain of
Bahama Islands. Looking out the window seat was I so surprised to see
aqua water and islands emerging into view! Each island seemed more
beautiful than the next and the water was so clear that I could see the
land for…

Not much exciting here. Stopped a little on the drive back to San Juan to perhaps buy something, which didn't happen. We also saw some large iguanas and struggled to find a gas station. Good times.

We spent yesterday in eastern Puerto Rico. Our guide Joe took us up into the rainforest of El Yunque, where we walked along a beautiful track following a tropical stream over the rapids and waterfalls. Afterwards we spent the afternoon on the beach at Playa Luquillo, our last chance to soak up Cari…
