Puerto Lopez is a small fisher-town in the south of Manabi-Province and it is very near to the Machalilla National Park, which might be its main attraction.
Puerto Lopez is the perfect place if you are looking for something quiet but laid back. The beach is nice and I love the kiosks along the beach, which serve juices during the day and cocktails at night.
It's so nice waking up and see the fisher boats going into the sea and admire the sunset, boats in front of the sun as background is a perfect picture.
If you visit Puerto Lopez from Jun - Sept, you'll be able to watch whales. Which is amazing!
