This is going to be substantial. What a weekend.
The ISA group (all 30 of us or so) loaded up on a bus and headed for Puerto Iguazu Thursday evening. This bus ride was the most luxurious bus ride of my life. We basically had lazyboy seats to ourselves and were fed a full course meal. The 12 h…

The argentinian side rocks the brazilian side. Hard.
I got lucky this morning. talking with some kids at breakfast I learned that getting over to the argentinian side was not very easy, and that the simplest way was to drive over in a car reserved by the hostel which was leaving in a half hour. So…

Been there three times and always find them spectacular. Last time we made the navigation and took the nice flush under one of the smaller falls. Exiting. The whole trip is very different from any other.

My visit to South America happened in 2006. I went with a good friend of mine and we had a blast. The tour in Buenos Aires was fun and informative. Iguazu was the best part, I couldn't believe this site, the beautiful water falls, especially the Devils Throat..Amazing! You get to appreciate it more when you see it from the Brazilian side. Rio was a bit scary, dirty and not as I imagined. In anyway, we had a good time and I would love to make it back to Buenos Aires!

After the relaxing three days in Mendoza, my sister and parents and I were off to Iguazu, Argentina, home of the Iguazu Falls. These falls are just breathtaking. They span miles between the Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina borders. We were lucky enough to see both the Brazil and Arg…

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.

Once again a long overnight trip by buss, however great services offered during this trip. (look for info on bus travel in my info)
Certainly the surroundings looks much more tropical and we are greeted with nice warm temperature.
We had booked a hostel in advanced which turned out to be a “apa…

We arrived to Foz after 14 hours spent in a bus. Got checked-in in hotel and next morning went to short trip accross the border to Argentina to see the falls from that side first.
The falls are breath taking, we did a boat trip inside the falls, got completely soaked wet ;) Th…

July 9th - Last night we had a mexican night in the hostel, there were about 18 of us and we ate fajitas and drank lots of tequila. It was good fun and we were up until about 3am. We slept in today as we were feeling a little rough until about 4pm! We decided to go for a walk as nothing…

Made plans to visit Asuncion, Paraguay. Booked a hostel and was about to leave Brazil when the staff at Paudimar Falls tells me US citizens need a travel visa. Well, its possible to get one, but it requires too much paper work. So, i changed plans and decided to head to Buenos Air…
