Rollercoaster Bridge May 06, 2011
Just one more sight i want to recommend for those who visit Punta del Este. The wavy bridges of La Barra are one in a kind, not just because their special shape, but also for that dizzy feeling you get in your stomach when crossing it at a certain speed. I'm not encouraging anyone with this to cross it at crazy speed, but if the conditions are good (good visibility, road clean and no traffic) you can try surprising your fellows with a small urban rollercoaster which makes most people get astonished and laugh.

Even if you're not this kind of person or going on foot, it worths a photo.

It's approximately 149 kilometers away from Montevideo (2 hours) and civil eingeneering student (because he never actually graduated) Leonel Viera designed it that way to test the applicability of stressed ribbon theory in an urban structure

How far is this bridge from Montevideo? Why was it made this way?
