Publicisdrugstore - La Brasserie Paris Reviews
very stylish, affordable lounge in paris, at the champs elysees Jul 06, 2009
On our only night, where we could "go out" (we were just too tired, to have a nice party evening), we landed at a lounge, very close to the arc de triomphe, at the champs-elysee avenue.
it's divided into 2 parts. the shopping department which sells books, clothes, food specialites, cds, and diverse stuff...
and the lounge-bar-cafe..
the ambient was very calm...
+ VERY friendly, nice, but reserved bar keepers.
+ fair prices for paris (12 euros a cocktail, 8 euros a longdrink, 4-5 euros for softdrinks, 17year old whiskey 18 euros)
+ most people inside the lounge, were classy dressed, .. even though we wearing our casual clothes, we've been wearing all day long, ... no one cared.
the next day, we turned back to the lounge, before our departure... we ordered a burger, and 2 cocktails for each one of use. the 2nd cocktail was for free! because the barkeeper remembered our faces, and told us, we'd pay for the 2 last cocktails. 24 euros!!
very nice and welcoming bar!
condsidering that there were LOTS people in that street, especially during the evening...
the charm of this lounge was the calm athmosphere... it reminded me of the movie lost in translation ;)
BEST bar we've been to, so far.. ( in paris)
