Public transportation in Florence: A lesson in Futility Reviews

Honestly this stems mainly from the fact that I am getting incredibly frustrated with the Public Transport here. First let me tell you about the trains. They are not labeled very well and since I work in the suburbs and must take the train into the city from a small station, there are several trains that come at close times, but with the many delays you dont know which train is which because there are no monitors on the platform to tell you which train is arriving on the track. Next the bus system. Honestly, I think my bus runs about as often as a bus from Eritria to Ethiopia (or for you geopolitically challenged individuals a flight Cuba to the US). The bus is SUPPOSED to come every 7 minutes. Yesterday, I stood outside the MAIN TRAIN STATION in Florence for 45 minutes waiting for the bus to come. Frequently I am forced to wait 20 minutes to Half an hour for a bus that is supposed to come frequently. It makes me want to ripe their "schedule" off the post because it clearly is inaccurate and just aggrevates those who are used to resonable PT. Also piece of advice, wave down the bus because sometimes it wont stop because this is Italy. As always enjoy
