Public Transportation in Guayaquil Jul 19, 2009
Although Guayaquil is the biggest city in Ecuador. Most of the companies have offices here, mainly because of the harbor. The public transportation is not as well organized as in Quito.

In Quito they have a trolley and the buses are nice. Here the buses are sort of organized, but they are old and they don't have bus stops. They stop wherever you asked and the fee is really cheap! Just be sure to have change.

There are also taxis, but the cars are not very new and you can find old ones. You have to bargain the price before getting in. There are no taximeters. Nevertheless, it's cheap.

Guayaquil is a big city and it can take a bit longer than expected to go from one place to another, but at least the roads and streets are in good conditions.
