Getting your way around Sydney using the train - Cityrail NSW Feb 24, 2011
Sydney is a beautiful city and you can do some sightseeing just walking, but if you want to go to other suburbs you might need to use any kind of public transportation. Taxis could be expensive, so I suggest you to use the train which is fast, avoid the traffic jams, and not expensive.
There are several lines connecting the different areas of the city, so I suggest you to go to the station, get a map and figure it out your best way to arrive to your destination. There are different kind of tickets, so choose the one that suits your needs better and you will be able to save some money. It depends on how much you will use the train and how long you will stay in the city. The Multi one allows you to use train, buses, light rail and also ferries!
The train is on time and comfortable, but if you can avoid the peak hours in order to find a not so crowded one, this will be great.
If you have time you can even visit their website and get more information about their routes and services.
