This is the oldest pub in UK. You can it there very good and cheap food. Service is very nice and speak in English, Spanish and German. For 3,78Ł you can choose one of each groups:
* homemade soup, fresh fruit * main menu: pork, spaggetti ... * some kind of deser * tea or caffee This pub looks good. It has old furnitures, big mirror, few horseshoes at the walls, a monument of Horse. Musik is not to laud so you can eat in peace. All the food there tasted great. Its good for just getting something quick and simple to eat. |

Also recommended in the area is the pub Jinty McGinty's in Ashton Lane, and the Belgian bar/restaurant Brel, where I had my stag night!
My final destination was Woodlands Road. This contains a few pubs (the best being The Primary), a couple of art galleries, and a few Indian… Boxing Day visit to the West End |

…this was NOT the case at Boise State ;) The university area intersects with Byres street, which is a student hub of pubs, pubs, take-outs, and restaurants. I (finally gave in and) had some haggis at the local cafe, and all I can say is: why? I've heard the food in Britain is bad, but with the British Empire once consuming 1/3 of the known… Day 12: Glasgow, the bastard redheaded stepchild of Scotland |
