I was born and i'm still living and working in Kampen. You can find Kampen in the east part of the Netherlands. As you know Holland as we say, is verry flat but it has many woods and water.  Kampen is one of the oldest city's in Holland. It has many old and historical buildings, and there is the university for religion!

We reden nu richting kust en kwamen zo via Zeebrugge en Knokke weer terug in Nederland. We besloten bij Breskens over te varen naar Vlissingen, dus al gauw stonden we in de rij voor de boot. Op deze manier was er mooi gelegenheid om even het laatste belgische geld te wisselen, en een hapje te eten, want daar waren we zo langzamerhand wel aan toe (dat eten bedoel ik). We hoefden gelukkig niet al te lang op de boot te wachten, en al gauw stonden we met onze neus in de wind (letterlijk bedoeld)...

I got up early and after some Tosti's, I drove to the north of Overflakkee about 30 minutes away as it was here that I would be take the bridge to another island. I drove through the island of Schouwen and continued on the next bridge called Neeltje Jans. The bridge to Neeltje Jans has massive pumping stations all along it and I found it very impressive. Off2Scotland with Mother Earth,2protest against the Trident Submarines; the nuclear weaponry of the UK. Lots of teambuilding; then blocking the military base of Faslane, where the submarines are docked; &fun in custody. Great trip & group we had.

A daytrip to Zwolle and Kampen!

Decided to drive West today and followed the A58 all the way to the end of the line in Vlissingen.  This town is a beautiful seaside city with nice beaches and a great little center.

We went to Axel for joining the camping of LRCH in Axel(Land Rover club Holland).It's a great weekend. I knew some friends here.....haha ..Kim ,Chris ,Gert ,Meicky and Andy ...thanks everyone and Simon .. i did have a wonderful camping experience ,and of course... I LOVE OFF ROAD hahaha...

To celebrate my birthday this year we went to Vrouwenpolder. This is a small town in Walcheren close to Middelburg. We love the quietness there.

Finally, we went off. At 5.50 in the morning (Dutch time), we started our engine and sett off for the English shore. Our main target: reaching at least Harwich. Our second target: to sail up the river Orwell and drink a beer, or two, at the Butt and Oyster inn in Pinn Mill. But we are very unlucky this morning, there isn't any wind at all. To avoid stranding on one of the numerous sandbanks out of the Dutch coast, we use our engine. Behind us, the sun was rising above the storm surge barrie...
