"Noord Holland" is the North-West corner of the Netherlands, stretching from the biggest of the Wadden-islands (Texel) to the fields below Amsterdam. Its capital is, surprisingly enough, not Amsterdam. Though Amsterdam is capital of the Netherlands, Noord-Holland's capital is Haarlem, a middle-sized city in the middle of the province.
Places worth visiting are -of course- Amsterdam, which is the biggest city in the Netherlands, and well known throughout the world. Other interesting cities are Alkmaar (with the famous cheese market)and Haarlem (capital of Noord-Holland). Also visit the smaller towns along the coast, with nice beaches and beatiful dunes and woods.

i just got home, tired and now i plonked my ass in front of the computer - it was great - no - ASTOUNDING to meet you all. i never ever expected a warm hospitality from our dutch friends - eventhough eef was about to choke me since i ordered becks beer in a dutch pub. hahahah hahahahmost of the guys knew my story about me and hanie, so i wont tell it anymore, too tired to type and all (i hope you understand) since were the last to came to the meet up :Das ever, our great leader devika, wendy ...

Amsterdam, Netherlands -› -› ...
After getting our stuff out of the room Mandy and I were ready to go back home.
Downstairs we ran into Ante and Jeff wich was great so we could say goodbye properly then. They still had another day in Amsterdam left so that was nice! On the way back home people were actually staring at me since I kinda looked like a homeless person (and felt like one also) After travelling for 2,5 hours I was finally back in Uden. So it's 5:30 in the afternoon right now and I just came home 2 hours ago from a long train ride from Amsterdam. I wasn't really going to blog about the meet-up now since I have tons more of blogs lined up to do and it's going to take me until summer to finish them all up but I just couldn't resist the temptation of reliving all the crazy memories I had yesterday. Honestly I really had no clue of what to expect from these meetups. I had decided in the last minute to fly to Amsterdam and meet some of my travbuddies, the people that I have been chatting with for awhile. Being this was my first meetup I was excited to finally the people behind the photos, the blogs and the conversations.
