I mentioned a little bit in the intro, but here is the some more of the story:   This was a Belgian fortress in between Liege and Maastricht, near the Albert Canal, defending the Belgian-German border. I hardly slept again. This time courtesy of 1 mosquito. I spent most of the night chasing after it, much to the annoyance of the neighbours. So, 6:30am found me in the breakfast lounge in a rather foul mood and itching all over. The one thing I forgot to pack: insect repellant. I have now been working almost 2 years in the lovely city of Brussels. The last 6 month I have also had the fortune of living here full time. I have become to understand why expats dont wanna leave again. I have also had the possibility to visit a lot of the major cities in the middle of Europe because Brussels is so close to all of them - it is just do it.
