This is turning out to be a good trip for new foods that I didn't know I liked.  Today, we went to a friend's house for dinner, and there were a lot of foods I'd never tried, which is great.  Trevino had provided salad, an Indonesian dish that he told me the name of and I'm afraid I've forgotten because it tasted exactly like corriander salsa and so that's what my ignorant little brain remembered, and some other stuff that I really enjoyed.  First came the egg soup with sambal ...
