Hi there.I had the chance to snowboard and ski in the middle of summer(for northern hemisphere)yes it was a very long trip but I did it.starting from istanbul-milano-buenos aires-san martin de los andes.great place "patagonia" I was at "chapelco" beautiful place.fresh air.powder snow and cheap as well.I had one of the greatest ski holiday.

let me tell you about my new friend who i sadly shall never see again - Stewie, the dog no-one loved. whilst in villa la angostura, which is a little village in the middle of a national park, we were befriended by this dog. there's loads of stray dogs in argentina - most are pretty mangy, some are vicious, others just sit around. those of you who've known me for some time will know that i don't like dogs. in fact i downright hate them. in fact they fucking terrify me. but stewie was different...

We spent the next day relaxing and wandering around San Martin de los Andes. It has much more of an Alpine ski village feel. They are much more organised for tourists too, with the hotel giving you a little “passport” which has a map and a guide to the restaurants etc. They claim in there that San Martin is a city, but I don’t quite agree.
