Mi amigo Fabian me llevó a buscar boletos para ir a Santa Clara apenas llegué a La Habana pero fue imposible, por ser temporada alta. Fuimos a la estación de omnibus cercana a la Plaza de la Revolución y un tipo de la oficina de omnibus me dijo que fuera al otro día temprano (5 am). No hubo taxi que quisiera llevarme a esa hora a la estación de omnibus y tuve que caminar como un kilómetro por una calle completamente oscurahasta llegar frente al Capitolio, donde hay taxis estacionados.H...

Air Asia had a great sale .. I just couldn't help myself and make a bulk booking of seven tickets for myself! Some fares were virtually free (just pay the fuel surcharge and the airport tax). Then waderlust kicks in and I extend the trip.

I was staying in an illegal casa in Varadero which made me uncomfortable. Also, Varadero is very touristy, with no Casa Particulares and only big tourist hotels. The whole town feels very touristic and not very Cuban so I decided to move on to Santiage de Cuba and have a look at the Che Mausoleum in Santa Clara along the way.
