Sunday morning and we are getting everyone and everything into the two mini buses for the two hour drive to the airport. We are leaving for Cuba today for my brother's wedding and everyone is excited. Nerves brought on by anticipation of the sun, as our plane was scheduled to leave at 6pm and we are on our way to the airport at 10am. So we went to go see the famous and rightly so, Buena Vista Social Club at a nearby local club.  Truly. Amazing. After the show, I met some of the musicians and got a CD signed by one of them.  Needless to say, I was pretty excited about that.  This I'm sure was a once in a lifetime experience.

I have family in Cuba. Went several years ago and was so happy to meet relatives. What a beautiful place!! Didn't get to go to Trinidad where most of them live because it is hard to get around. But saw Havana, Varadero, and some other small towns. I am determined to go back again...maybe next Christmas :)
