My plans to visit the Esteros del Ibera have been aborted due to vehicular impracticalities. The Esteros are not exactly on the main tourist thoroughfare. Here's the story. We're moving out of one apartment next week. Then we're going from Buenos Aires to Lima in 55 days. Then we're coming back to Germany and moving into a new apartment. There's a lot going on and the trip hasn't even started yet!

We decided to head over to Carlos Pellegrini to see the Esteros de Iberas which we read were quite nice. Apparently the way that most people get there is via Corrientes, which means taking three buses and 9 hours of travelling. However, every other day, what can only be described as a truck turned into a passanger vehicle (quite nice though), leaves for Carlos Pellegrini through a terrible dirt road and takes half the time of the three buses.
