Getting There: Brussels Noord: Take the train to Verviers Centrale (it actually goes to Antwerp or something, but stops at Verviers). Verviers Centrale: Take the train to Spa. Spa station: Take bus 744 to the very end, and then take the next bus that arrives on your side of the street, which goes to Francorchamps. Getting Back: heh. i'm back-blogging here. just a few mass emails i sent when i backpacked thru europe in fall 2004, my first time ever outside the usa...

We spend three days here in a beautiful bungalow with a fire place, big bathroom, superrelaxed beds and cosy living room. Made fantastic hikes through the snow and did not meet another human being... And than another 5 days in Vielsalm in another bungalow, again.....with a fire place..... and a very good lunch spot on the corner.

Basic huisje gehuurd bij EuroRelais. Wel met geweldig uitzicht en heerlijk rustige ligging. Kan er vanuit het huisje heerlijke wandelingen maken. Paar uitstapjes gemaakt,waaronder de grotten van Remouchamps, hike in Coo, lekker eten in Stavelot en shoppen in Spa (niet echt een winkel stad)

4 very cold days at the ring!

I arrived at the airport in Holland and quickly made my way to the train station to avoid getting stuck out at the airport overnight. After getting my tickets and marking my destination of choice on them incorrectly (because i had special tickets that allowed me to mark in where i wanted to go by train) i went to the wrong bay to catch my train, i got on and waited a few min. till i could find a man to ask where the train was going, it did work out so i called my cousin. In 1994 my father and I wanted to make a cycling trip to Lourdes. We were followed by a mini-van with all our luggage driven by a family friend. I'm really sorry I don't have any pic for this moment, hope to fix something later!

Vanmorgen ben ik ietsje eerder opgestaan en ben ik meteen gaan douchen. Hierna ging ik met de auto naar het dorp om verse broodjes te halen en meteen de auto weer voor de blokhut neer te zetten zodat we niet te veel met de bagage zouden hoeven sjouwen. Ondertussen hadden Ma en Ellen al het grootste deel van hun bagage ingepakt en na het ontbijten gingen zij douchen zodat ik nu de gelegenheid had om mijn bagage in te pakken. Nog voor tienen zaten we in de auto, zo vroeg waren we de hele week ...

Terwijl we Maastricht uitreden kwamen we bordjes tegen van de “Mergellandroute”. Deze volgden we een tijdje, totdat we, na het passeren van een aantal plaatsjes, in Slenaken aankwamen. Hier weken we van de route af en gingen we richting Leuven dat in België ligt. Zodra we in België aankwamen merkten we meteen dat het wegdek slechter onderhouden was. Maar niet getreurd, dan rijden we maar iets langzamer. Zo kwamen we uiteindelijk in Eupen waar we probeerden een hotelletje te vinden om te...
