Provident Doral Reviews
The last one May 28, 2016
We decided to save the best for last. Or actually the best two for last. At Key West we had an amazing stay so we wondered if our second hotel in Miami would top that. I would say it is a close call. Depending on what you are looking for in a hotel.
The Provident Doral at the Blue Miami is quit a charm. Al the rooms are located in smaller buildings a total of 11. There is one main building where you can find the reception as well as the hotel bar and the breakfast/dinning area. Walking from the main building to the smaller buildings you will pass the pool and the pool bar.
Our room was located in the 3th building on the first floor. Parking in front of the building is not a problem and it is free.
Exiting the elevator and turning left. Entering the room in a small kind of hallway. A few steps further the bathroom to your left and the kitchen to your right.
The bathroom has a bath as well as a shower. A toilet and sink. Towels are changed daily. I also loved the shampoo they offer. Most of the time I don't like the shampoos offerd in hotels but this one was quit nice! (great smell and great for your hair).
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. As well as a microwave and fridge including an ice cube part (or however it's called, it's typical American in my opinion and I like it a lot!)
The kitchen leads into the sleeping area/sitting area. The bed on the left and huge closets on the right. More then enough space to fit everything. As well as a bathrobe or dressing gown. Moving into the sitting area. With a tv, dinning table and couch.
Also sliding doors onto the balcony. A nice size balcony with two chairs and a small table looking out over grass and trees.
Breakfast is served till 12 there is a menu to order from. We also ate dinner at the hotel. Both were nice. Service is friendly but can sometimes take a while.
There is a nice swimming pool though there can be a shortage off sunbeds. The bar located at the swimming pool offers a range off different meals. The breakfast/dinner area overlooks the pool.
We had a late flight and wanted to book the room for a longer period off time as check out is at 11. This was possible but we would have to pay to much for our liking so we didn't and checked out a little before 11 and grabbed our breakfast afterwards.
I would recommend this hotel. The location is not the best if you want to be in the hart of Miami. But if you like a nice room and a bit of quit instead of the city vibes this is the place to go. And if you play golf, there is a gigantic course next to the hotel.
