I took a month off from work in Boston and decided to drive to Los Angeles on a whim. Not one hotel room, and only four proper showers all month!

I spent about a month in Boston in 2005, and visited New York for the first time too. Also saw Florida, Washington DC and Cape Cod while I was there!

Study Abroad program Fall of 2006 to Spring of 2007. Started in China for 5 months and then went to Europe where I traveled to 15 countries and 27 cities in 4 months. WOW.

32 states in the US and 8 in Canada. Travelled Canada and the USA from coast to coast within five months. Travelled mostly by train, sometimes by coach. In total 33.000 km (20.000 miles). Started and ended in Toronto. Some other highlights: Montreal, Quebec, New York, Philadelpia, Chicago, Miami, New Orleans, El Paso, LA, San Fran, Yosemite, Death Valley, Vegas, Vancouver, Jasper. Experienced temperatures varying from minus 25 degrees Celsius to +30 degrees Celsius. Only shot 6000 pictures.

It started innocently enough; I visited Juneau, Alaska in June 1993 and explored the State Capitol building. A few months later, It was Montgomery, Alabama's. In the course of time, it became a hobby. Near the end it became a bit of an obsession. Then, in August of 2006, I visited my 50th US State Capitol building in Pierre, SD. (Yeh!) Yes, I know, I'm a geography nerd.... All entries are maintained in on the 'first visit' date.

While I was living in Boston last year, one of my friends, Shane, was living in Providence, Rhode Island, right around the corner from Brown University. I just found out that I will be returning to Greece in September for a whole year!  Until then, hard work and lots of planning.  We will have another trip with the students in December/January, and I am hard at work on the textbook already.
