Providence Lodge Adaminaby Reviews
Offers peace and tranquility in the heart of the Snowy Mountains Oct 02, 2011
Situated on the shores of Lake Eucumbene within the Snowy Mountains National Park, this lodge is only 40 minutes from Cooma and 10 minutes from Adaminaby. Providence Lodge is the ideal base to ski, fish or explore the National Park. It is only 25 minutes from Mt Selwyn and is the closest Lodge to the ski fields.
My family and I stayed here once on a family skiing holiday at Mt Selwyn. The lodge is nestled into the mountains, and receives snow for most of the winter. It was amazing waking up to snow in the morning. It is located in a very quiet and peaceful area, away from traffic and noise. All rooms are under one roof, which makes it easy to get around to the dining area, games room, bar, sauna, lounge, and drying room (for your snow gear). We had two separate rooms, which were joined by a door in the middle. The rooms were clean, and had very good heaters, and the beds had several extra blankets. Most rooms also have a view of the lake and surrounding mountains. In the lounge they had a log fire, and the room is very cozy - feels like someones house rather than a holiday lodge. Included in the room price was breakfast and dinner at the lodge - food was a hearty home cooked meal, and was very tasty! You can also rent ski gear and equipment from the lodge, and are also allowed to toboggan on the grounds, something a lot of other lodges do not allow.
The lodge is on the edge of a lake, only a short walk away. Apparently there are a lot of trout in the lake, but I tried fishing for a good couple of hours and caught nothing.
More suited to families rather than couples or singles.
