Princess Gardens Edinburgh Reviews
A great place to chill Jun 13, 2011
Princess Gardens in running parrallel to Princess Road which is the main shopping area. The area is built in a valley which used to be a Lock (a lake) a few hundered years ago till it was drained and made into a beautiful park, where people can relax on the hundereds of benches or just chill out on the grass with a nice picnic. There are many pretty flowers in the gardens with many different monuments and statues dedicted to scottish soldiers from many wars around the world they have fought in, the biggest monument of all it is Scott's Monument which is dedicated to the famous poet of scotland which you may enter and climb for a small fee. Right in the centre is a large band stand which im guessing host many live bands on during the summer months which when i was there nothing much was hsppening. All in all i think this is a lovely place to chill from work on your lunch break, or just come and relax for a couple of hours on a nice day, i think its a really cool place to go.
