Prince Rupert Hotel Shrewsbury Reviews
Good location in the town centre Jun 22, 2010
Once home to Prince Rupert, this timber-framed hotel oozes traditional charm. It's conveniently located off the main road in the heart of historical Shrewsbury close to the medieval Shrewsbury Castle, Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery. Only short walk to main railway station.
Rooms are well presented in a periodical style with en suite bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and TV. I was very surprised with the size of the room which was much bigger than a standard one. You could easily party in it :-). I had a double bed with quite soft, comfortable mattress. The bathroom was definitely a downside as it was just tiny. You could barely move in it. Quite a disappointment.
The hotel has a modern spa and fitness centre, although I have not used them.
I cannot comment of food unfortunately, as I did not dine in the hotel. Maybe next time :-)
