Great Lebanese located in a Jan 09, 2010
My brother wanted to go to this restaurant because it was featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” hosted by Guy Fieri. Located just down the road from new Cowboys Stadium, an amusing part of this restaurant is that obviously used to be a drive-in (as in a real pre-Sonic drive-in). You still park in the sawtooth parking spaces and see the awning that used to serve as the walkway for the servers, but the dining only takes place inside these days. They are a surprising number of tables inside.

My brother ordered a falafel plate, which came with a ridiculous amount of small sized falafels along with hummus, quartered pita pockets, tahini, olives and pickles. I ordered a thyme pie that was featured on the show along with a beef shawarma sandwich. The falafels, shawarma and hummus were good, but not extraordinary to me. However, the thyme pie was delicious. It’s basically a pita like bread topped with za'atar (an herb blend) and olive oil and baked like a pizza. It’s a salty, greasy and delicious treat.

The staff, which appear to be mostly daughters of the owner, are friendly and the prices are cheap.
