Strategic Location Dec 15, 2010
Just right opposite the hotel, there are a lot of shops to eat and do some shopping on toiletries, and very convenience to take the subway.

Okay, firstly do not be fooled by the high ratings of this hotel! It is high in accordance to what Tokyo is all about ;)

Airport Limousine does not stop at the doorstep, but at the nearest train station 'Shinjuku Station'. We had to take a cab down to the hotel (which after a few days of exploring, we found was pretty near our hotel. provided we wanted to lug our luggages around the city! cabs are expensive by the way!)

Once we arrive, we were greeted by a few service staff but they did not tell us where to go. Entrance was at Level 1, Reception & Check-In was at Level B1. Signs were put up in english, so we got it pretty fast to head to B1 to check in.

Staff spoke basic english and check-in service was prompt. Satisfied so far! Headed up to the rooms. it was small for two persons, but hey, we're in tokyo! (it was much bigger than my HK room, so I'm not complaining!)

It was furnished modern style, there's no wardrobes just clothes hook and a coupla hangers. The toilet is pretty small (think twice the size of the airplane toilet!) And yet, it's amazing how they manage to squeeze everything in! Japanese efficiency ;)

They have vending machines providing some snacks, toiletries, pads, condoms, wine, beer, sodas if you need them. ;) You can't boil hot water in your room, but they provide a flask for you to collect hot water from a machine near the lobby (beside vending machines)

They have only 3 internet kiosks in the Basement level and there's free internet on that level if you bring your own laptop! Internet charges go at 100yen per 10mins. I thought that was expensive at first, but it seems that most hotels/airport rates are as so! Just bring your laptop to save money!

Hotel also houses a few departmental stores within its building should you need to do some last minute shopping for authentic Japanese stuff, 'Uniqlo, Muji, 100yen shop, etc' Restaurants and cafes are also available.

On my last day, i actually found out that Level 2 actually leads to an underpass going to the train station! (Trust me Shinjuku station is a nightmare. Or adventure, depending on how you view it! ;) too big with too many exits.)

Oh, also I forgot to mention that this hotel is located in Shinjuku, Kabuki-Cho. Which is the red light district of Tokyo. Pretty interesting sights at night if you walk along the streets. In the day, it's just filled with rows and rows of shops. Despite it's red light district location, it is still very safe, so no worries! Take it from a girl traveller! ;)

Overall, a pleasant stay with them. But for convenience's sake, I will try other hotels which have direct transport for the Airport Limousine on my next visit!

Great location and good price Nov 18, 2009
i just arrived at the Shinjuku Prince Hotel in Tokyo. Very good location just steps from the train station and the Japanese subway. The room is small but very clean and with a lot of amenities. Internet, great bathroom, nice bed and a perfect view of all the buildings there are in Tokyo. Wanna go out? NO problemo... hundreds if no thousands of restaurants and bars are nearby.

The value is also very convenient for Japan standards. Two thumbs up!!
